TASTING ROOM OPENS

Today marks an awesome day for our winery! We will open our tasting room doors for the first time! We are so very pleased to be able to share our unique wines in our new room. We have always strived to be unique in the New York State wines we craft and our tasting room will be unique as well. The room is in a country setting and is small and cozy. We will be offering tastings and cheese and cracker plates for you to enjoy along with your tasting. You will be able to come and relax at high top tables or sit on the couch as well as stand at the tasting bar. You will be able to purchase all of our wines, growlers and six packs of half size bottles. Each month we will be featuring one of our wines as the WINE OF THE MONTH. During that month you will be able to learn about the grapes used to hand craft that particular wine and take advantage of its sale price. In there future you will be the first to enjoy new products at the tasting room. We are in the planning stages for some great events as soon as the weather gets a little warmer. For the month of March we will be open Saturdays from 1-5 PM. Please stop by and visit. We are only about 30 minutes from Rochester

Cellar Red a "Winemaker's Wine"

Our Cellar Red is made from the Marquette grape, a complex hybrid developed by the University of Minnesota in 2006. The grape was named after Pere Marquette, a Jesuit missionary and 17th Century explorer in North America. Marquette is a cold hardy grape, which is a" cousin of Frontenac and grandson of Pinot Noir",  produced by grafting Vitis Vinifera and American Species. This grape can be crafted into a delicious ruby colored wine which is light to medium bodied with hints of spice and fruit forward tastes of cherry and berry, tasting between a Pinot Noir and Merlot. This grape is often referred to as a "liquid canvas" where a winemaker's influence can be tasted because of his process and treatment of the wine he crafts.

If you have not had a chance to taste this delicious wine come visit us, or stop by a market we are at, it is always open to taste!
